Seeing no one was in the room, he quickly changed to his pj's before sitting on the couch with the PADD in his hands.

He peered up from his PADD, not saying anything at first. His antennae would curl up, though he gave the Caitian a wave.

They waved to him. “Hi! Can’t believe we’re on a mission- It’s only my first day here!” They said. They had a sunflower clip on the fur by their ear, and a scar on their cheek. Not a cool story behind it, she fell onto some rocks while hiking in the Academy.

"I only recently joined the station myself. And here I am already on my first mission. Not even enough time to adjust..." He wasn't wearing any socks or slippers at the moment, the metallic feet prosthetics showing. Seems like he also may had something happen.

In comes the Romulan, quiet as ever, eyes seeking out and finding a Caitian and an Andorian. His temporary roommates in his temporary quarters. "Jolan tru," he said, already beelining towards his spot with a weird mix of both confidence and caution. There were some chatroom pings he should check out - considering the issues they will soon encounter with the communications, maybe it was worth checking out, seeing who was where.

The other Romulan enters the room, simply nodding at anyone else who was inside. She noticed the other Romulan, but simply went about her own business.

Ooh, the fourth one is his brethren, huh. He snuck a glance towards the two non-Vulcanoids (well, one and a half. But Saren didn't know that), suddenly reminded of the Academy dormitory days. Hopefully these people won't be so paranoid that they have to share their temporary living quarters with two (2) murder space elves.

They waved to the newcomers and yawned. It had been a pretty long day. “Hi, everyone.” They said.

He stayed on the couch, focused on the PADD for a bit. He did look Andorian, but it was evident he definitely was part Vulcan with his pointed ears and slanted eyebrows. Voris didn't seem to react too much at the sight of two Romulans.

He changed to the uniforms for the mission before heading to the corridors.

Everyone was called to attend to their designated stations, and so the occupants left the quarters for now.

He hadn't even changed out from his current outfit, and is now slumped onto the main room's couch. Voris wasn't sure. Possibility of friends? He wasn't the one to make the first move unfortunately, hench why he had went directly to the temporary quarters.

The PADD immediately fell on his face after he sent the message to the chatroom. Night night.

Sadly he didn't even get to sleep for a full hour. Seeing those laboratory monsters in his sleep immediately had prompted him to awake in cold sweat. The hybrid was now sitting upright on the couch. The image of the creature about to bite him in his dream burned in his mind. Damn it. Guess he wasn't sleeping now. Voris went to his quarters to change into clean and fresh clothes after taking a shower. He was now wearing an oversized pull on hoodie that was solid black over the normal uniform. Then he took out a pickle from the jar before exiting to the corridors.

Slipping into his quarters, he changed into the pj's he had on before the mission. The oversized T-shirt but now with a bunch of pickles, and the bulky sweatpants was plain black. He also had tribble themed slippers. Voris then went back to the main room with the couch, promptly sitting back down onto it with the PADD in his hands. (edited)

How convenient that right next door to his quarters was his dinam's. Seriously why didn't they put them together? Well it wasn't like he had put in any request to room with Saren nor did he even knew Saren was going on this mission when he got the order. Anyway, Renakir was dressed party ready and by that it meant he had taken a lil nap, washed up, all that stuff. He was standing in his uniform, thankfully he had an extra so he didn't need to walk around dirty, his hair was combed down nicely and of course he had a new un-cracked pair of sunglasses. He chimed the door and awaited a reply.

[D] The door opened, revealing a disheveled looking Romulan, like he just got out kf the bed. Saren paused, looking Renakir over, then snorted: "Ready already, huh? Eh, you'll have to wait a bit then, I'm afraid... come on in." He jerkily nodded towards the inside of the living quarters, soon shuffling over to his bed on which he plopped down ungracefully, almost falling over. "How did the mission go on your side? No casualties?" (edited)

"I brought your smoothie," Renakir gave his fellow Romulan bro a smile as he stepped into the tiny room. They really weren't kidding when they said the quarters were going to be tight. He placed the smoothie on the table nad plopped his grey butt on the sofa. "It was.. A trip. Jack only bit a couple people, we chatted up some agent in the restrooms, now that was funny," A smile crossed the Romulan-Reman officer's face, although it was noticeably less expressive than when he last spoke about the event. "I'll show you later, but I swiped a disruptor from a guard. He called me a gangly bitch so I made him catch these gangly hands," Renakir held up his hands which had been properly treated by Elias earlier so there weren't any visible bruises, but he was trying to make a point here. "How about on your end? How was it?" He hoped his Dinam didn't have a bad time.

"Oh?" he blinked at it, then taking the cup in his shaky hands, "Oh! Yes. Right. Thank you." He listened intently to Renakir's tale, letting out a chuckle here and there. He also bit on the straw of his smoothie - perhaps... a bit too harshly. "I am glad to hear that you are all safe. And you have a souvenir!" his usually even, calm way of speaking was unusually expressive this time. Saren sighed, a light frown appearing on his face: "We also had some fun moments. Helped out some agents, made a fancy rubber carpet in a replicator to cross some electric tiles... But there was also some scary shit on our way." He crossed his legs, head resting on his fist. "We were fending off some agents in the armoury when one of them dropped a small device. It was activated, and..." he averted his gaze from Renakir. "Well. It was Thalaron radiation. A cascading biogenic pulse. Three of us almost got into it's radius. Thankfully, no one has died, but... but I can't wrap my head around this. Where did they get it?.." He stared at the floor now, unease evident on his face: "I lost it for a bit, yelling my lungs out at one of the agents. I am... I am not proud of that."

Renakir chuckled when Saren congratulated him, his cheeks turning a light shade of green as he grinned proudly. He noticed how his dinam looked when biting on the straw, it looked-- oddly Reman. Although Renakir was the king of just biting things, even as a child there were few people who messed with him and didn't leave with some sharp tooth marks on their arms. "Rubber carpet? Sounds cool, but dangerous," His expression dimmed when the other said the word 'dangerous'. It wasn't that Renakir's team didn't have their fair share of dance. They certainly did, but nothing could have prepared him for the tale Saren was about to grace his floppy ears with. "Tha.... Thaloran Radiation?" The fluffy haired Reman boy leaned close to Saren and whispered the words as if it were some taboo topic. "Where did they get it.... Shin..zon," He said in disbelief, his eyes growing wide although perhaps Saren was close enough to see Renakir's light silver irises shining through the black tinted glass. "That would... Explain the disruptors too," Renakr looked down at his hands, remembering how the weapon felt when he was carrying it. To think, he was only one decision away from having to carry such weapons everywhere. "It... Kinda sounds like the base was just a garage sale of Star Empire tech," He said, his voice still low. "And I understand Dinam, I would be angry too. To possess such terrible weapons. I mean, the whole Romulan senate," Renakir did feel a little uncomfortable spaeking about this with Saren. He did not condone what Shinzon did that day, but at the same time he was unsure if the Romulan government would have ever made the changes it did afterwards had the Remans not shown that they were more than capable of fighting for their rights to live.

"Yeah, it... it sure sounds like that," he agreed, voice small. Almost shyly his hand found Renakir's sleeve, grabbing it and tugging his brother closer. "They either salvaged all of that from abandoned Tal Shiar bases, or... or were given, traded these items. I haven't felt such fear in a long time..." He then laughed, a sudden sound, shaking his head. "And you know what? That wasn't the worse part. The worst part were the laboratories. Gods... they had mutants there. A hatham, sailback, a vivver... they mutilated Mol'Rihan's fauna, the bastards!" he shouted, immediately covering his mouth with his palm. "Sorry... sorry, I didn't mean to yell. But also, the creatures had the traits of a warrigul. Remember those? Terrifying canines with too much teeth? Gods, they just... they just grabbed all of the most dangerous Romulan animals, huh... Can you see the worrying pattern, dinam?" He put his smoothie - delicious, by the way - on the table, standing up. "And then there was an alien. He's a... he's a telepath. And while he was forced to fight us and was a victim of this situation, it still wasn't pretty." he looked his brother in the eyes, his own pupils blown wide, limbs still shaky. "He showed me the past that could have been. I... wanted to stay there. But didn't. And now my head, and soul, are... hurting." An understatement. "But I want to go. I think I will feel better when surrounded by people. So, um... give me a few minutes, okay? Okay!" he clapped the Reman on his back, quickly moving towards the bathroom. Speedrun time.

Renakir looked at his dinam, bowing his head ever so slightly so his sunglasses slid down his nose to reveal his silver eyes that stared at Saren's dark green ones. He listened to everything Saren said; the animal experiments, the chimeras? Renakir's mouth dropped open when Saren said 'worrying pattern'. "I don't like where all this is going," He replied dryly, really wishing he had a smoothie right now. He grit his teeth together and sighed. "Telepath-- victim of.." He was starting to understand, but Saren's story was a bit fragmented. Probably due to the fact that he seemed to still be reeling from the experience, especially with the way his voice and body shook as he recalled the experience. Perfectly valid though. "Y-Yeah, the party. You sure you wanna go? I don't want you to feel pressured just because I'm going," Renakir took in a sharp breath when Saren hit his back and chuckled lightly. "Alright I'll be right out here when you return."

A few minutes later after his escape, Saren returned looking... not quite like his old usual self, but close enough. "No, I will go. I'm... not very comfortable being alone here, and I want to see and make sure that everyone's okay," yet his speech was still uneven and slightly rushed, as if the man had too much energy. Or was overly anxious, "Besides, when else we're gonna be able to hang out on Eventide? And we can... talk about all of this shitstorm later."

"That's true," Renakir gave his dinam a warm smile. He was happy to see Saren branching out and coming to the party. This would be the second time the two of them attended a party! Just two bros hanging. "Alright we can meet up later back on the station," Maybe at Snacks? Who knows, but there were a lot of things Renakir wanted to unpack with Saren about what he saw. He could sense a bit of a change in character from the other and so far he was liking it. Renakir headed out to the #deck-2-hallway .
